The implementation of the project "Increasing awareness and improving the security and safety of fishermen in Shabla Municipality" has ended

On 24.11.2023, the implementation of the project "Increasing awareness and improving the security and safety of fishermen in the Municipality of Shabla" was completed, which is carried out under the Administrative Contract for Grant No. MDR-IP-01-66/14.09.2023 ., under Project Selection Procedure BG14MFOP001-4.103 MIRG-SHKB-2.1.1 "Investments in diverse public infrastructure related to the fishing community and the maritime potential of the territory", financed by the Strategy for Community-Led Local Development /VOMR/ of the Local Initiative fishing group Shabla - Kavarna - Balchik under the Program for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries 2014-2020, co-financed by the European Union through the European Fund for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries and the National Budget of the Republic of Bulgaria.

The project fulfilled its purpose, which is in line with the main objective of the measure, namely "to promote social well-being, poverty reduction and economic development in the territory of Shabla-Kavarna-Balchik MIRG, through investments in improving the living environment." It is also consistent with the following specific objective of the WFD: "promoting social well-being and cultural heritage in fisheries and aquaculture areas, including fisheries, aquaculture and marine cultural heritage."

По проекта е изградена Централизирана система за мониторинг на метеорологичните условия и видеонаблюдение за подобряване на сигурността и безопасността на рибарите на територията на община Шабла. Тя предоставя възможност в реално време да се визуализират данни и информация за състоянието на метеорологичната обстановка за акваторията пред бреговете на община Шабла, с превантивна цел за осигуряване на безопасност на рибари, туристи и практикуващи морски спортове.

The project has a total value of BGN 245,749.19 excluding VAT, of which 85% in the amount of BGN 208,886.81 is provided by the European Union through the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund and 15% in the amount of 36,862.38 BGN from the state budget of the Republic of Bulgaria.
